Kansas City emcee, singer and songwriter Krizz Kaliko is back with a brand new uplifting hip-hop anthem “Feelin Good.” The track sees Krizz Kaliko joining forces with Futuristic to playfully spit bars that will surely make even the most jaded hip-hop snob smile and nod their head.
“I’ve always been an advocate for mental health and I think everyone’s mental well-being took a bit of a hit in the past two years. With everything starting to open back up, I wanted to release a song that could put a smile on people’s faces again,” commented Krizz Kaliko. “There’s something amazing about feeling empowered after putting yourself out there; it makes you feel good. I want everyone else to feel that way when they hear this song.”
Futuristic added, “One of the biggest things I preach is being happy in real life, not just on the internet. This is the perfect theme song for just that! Feel good and choose happiness every single day!”
After dropping a bombshell on the hip-hop scene when it was revealed that he had left Strange Music and former touring partner Tech N9ne after an explosive 20-year ride, Krizz Kaliko revealed the formation of his own independent label Ear House Inc.
The first release under his new independence and new imprint was “Weight,” a single and music video that saw Krizz literally strip down completely naked to combat body stereotypes. The powerful music video bared all, but completely went viral when fans rallied behind the song and started a body positivity movement on TikTok and other social media platforms. The movement showed fans revealing their bodies in a show of acceptance and empowerment. The movement became known as the #RiskBeingSeen challenge and showed the personal connection fans have with Krizz Kaliko’s music and how they connect with his brutal honesty and vulnerability.
After risking being seen, Krizz Kaliko is all about “Feelin Good” and giving fans the feel-good hit of the summer.
