Hit-Boy feat. Curren$y – Tony Fontana III

3x Grammy award-winning producer/recording artist/songwriter Hit-Boy continues his hot streak of recent singles with a new track that showcases the true extent of his storytelling ability.

The acclaimed beatmaker has ascended from behind the boards to double down on his commitment to delivering hits (no pun intended), teaming up with Curren$y aka Spitta Andretti for the “Tony Fontana III” music video, directed by Thirdeyeraz.

In the video, Hit and Curren$y trade bars with legacy in mind, reflecting on the sacrifices they endured to become great. From easily digestible one-liners to car talk and luxurious flexes, “Tony Fontana” is a subtle reminder that it takes time to get better – because after all, it’s a marathon, not a race.

Most recently, Hit-Boy just wrapped up his Madden NFL 23 campaign where he served as the game’s official soundtrack producer. From teaming up with Beyoncé to lace her seventh studio album with his signature sound (Hit produced “THIQUE” on Renaissance) to partnering with UnitedMasters to launch their Beat Exchange marketplace, 2022 has been a busy year for the Grammy-winning artist.

“Tony Fontana” closely follows the release of Hit’s Cordae-assisted offering, “Checkmate (listen HERE). Earlier this year, the acclaimed recording artist/songwriter released back-to-back records with Dom Kennedy, “Corsa” and “Corsa (East Coast Version)”, alongside “SCHOLAR” feat. 24HRS & Devin Morrison and “FIREPROOF”.

Part of what makes Hit-Boy stand out from his contemporaries is his ability to dominate everything he does, and with no sign of slowing down, he’s poised to accelerate his boundary-pushing sound even further. The California-bred hitmaker has developed a reputation for creating music in his own unique vision, taking listeners on a sonic journey and immersing them into his complex mind.

About Hit-Boy:
As one of the music industry’s most sought out producers and artists, the California-bred Hit-Boy has more than earned his moniker. Born Chauncey Hollis, 3x GRAMMY Award-winning multi-hyphenate artist from Pasadena and the neighboring Inland Empire, boasts an impressive roster of credits, from wielding pop smashes for Beyoncé, Rihanna and Ariana Grande to producing hit records for Jay-Z, Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, Travis Scott, and more over his thirteen plus years in the industry. As a rapper and songwriter in his own right, Hit-Boy has recorded and released seven mixtapes and three collaborative albums. Recently earning a GRAMMY for Nas’ King’s Disease (Hit served as an executive producer on the ‘Best Rap Album’), the super producer has earned his first-time GRAMMY nomination for the ‘Producer of the Year’ category in 2021. He has racked up several additional accolades, including ‘Producer of the Year’ at the 2021 and 2020 BET Hip-Hop Awards, ‘Producer of the Year’ at the XXL Awards, ‘Outstanding Producer of the Year’ at the 2021 NAACP Image Awards and Complex’s ‘Best Hip-Hop Producer Alive’ of 2020. He recently served as executive producer for Nas’ King’s Disease (GRAMMY winner) and King’s Disease II, Big Sean’s Detroit 2 (debuted No. 1 on the Billboard 200), and is currently working on his own artist project ‘Surf Or Drown’ (Q4 2022) as well as producing ‘Thique’ on Beyoncé’s latest project Renaissance and producing the soundtrack for Madden23.
