Elliot Greer – Afterlife [Lyric Video]

Today, Scotland-born, Nashville-based singer-songwriter, Elliot Greer, shares his sultry side on new single “Afterlife,” out now via Arista Records.

This single starts as a tender piano ballad that soon explodes into a cathartic anthem. It sees Elliot soulfully embracing passion. On this track, his voice roars, preaching about an intense relationship with a new lover. Elliot shares on the track that, “Can’t sugar coat this one, this song is about sex, plain and simple!”

“Afterlife” follows this year’s earlier singles “This Town” and “Gold,” the latter gaining recognition from a series of editorial playlists, such as Spotify’s Fresh Folk, Amazon Music’s Fresh Folk & Americana and Apple Music’s New Music Daily.

Elliot will head across the pond this summer for a sold out, headlining UK Tour, followed by stops at Parken Festival and the Stockholm Roots Festival. Tickets are still available for Elliot’s festival sets HERE. DC Music Review caught Elliot on tour and had rave reviews, noting, “his magnetic voice flawlessly undulates between an emotional quaver to a painful howl.”

More to come from Elliot soon!

About Elliot Greer:
Whether scrawled in a handwritten diary, committed to the pages of a book, or posted online, an authentic story will resonate. From a stark and stripped-down perspective, Elliot Greer delivers unfiltered truth with grizzled, yet warm intonation accompanied by acoustic guitar. For as much as he harks back to an old-school troubadour tradition, his appeal transcends eras. As such, he asserts himself as the rare singer-songwriter who can cut through the noise on social media with tens of millions of views or pack a residency gig on a weekly basis. Growing up in Scotland, he attended the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City and later landed a part in Glen Hansard’s Once in upstate New York —only for COVID to shut down the production before it got off the ground. Armed with a basic $100 microphone purchased by his girlfriend, he wrote, produced, recorded, mixed, and mastered his independent debut, Handcrafted, in the bathroom of his apartment. Simultaneously, he gigged nonstop, busking 357 days in Central Park, performing anywhere around town with a stage, and joining Ashley McBryde and John Osborne for a performance on The Tonight Show at Jimmy Fallon. In 2022, he launched a TikTok account and broke through with the single “Bleed.” A video of Elliot with an acoustic guitar singing his soul out caught fire, reeling in 14 million views across platforms. The Scotland-born and New York-based artist continued forging a lasting connection on 2023’s “I Bought a Honda” and Barebones. Elliot just wrapped his US tour with Sam Barber and now will be heading across the pond for his UK show dates. Keep an ear out for his new tracks “Gold,” “Intruders,” “This Town” and now, “Afterlife.” This is just the beginning of Elliot’s forthcoming project.
