Rising rap star Chinese Kitty releases her new hype-up single “Been Poppin” along with an accompanying music video. Produced by Cartier Fly and released via EMPIRE, “Been Poppin” finds Kitty confidently spitting bars. Set in New York City, the visual directed by Mills Miller features Kitty reminiscing on her come-up in the rap game.
“ ‘Been Poppin’ is really special to me. It’s the Intro to my album, and I think it’s really important that people understand there’s a deeper message for me beyond what people see on Instagram. I really worked hard for this, and I hope they see and understand it, and that if I can do it, they can too,” says Chinese Kitty.
“Been Poppin” follows the release of Kitty’s club-ready single “Top Bitch” feat. LightSkinKeisha (listen HERE/watch HERE), which she released last week. Later this month, Kitty will be dropping her highly anticipated full-length debut studio album SMD, including features from French Montana, Fivio Foreign, Dave East and LightSkinKeisha.
Kitty will be performing tracks off the project at this year’s Rolling Loud (New York City) where she will be gracing the festival stage for the second time. SMD follows Kitty’s 2019 mixtape Kitty Bandz which features knockout tracks such as “Opps” feat. Cuban Doll and “Hitstick.”
