BigXthaplug – The Largest [Lyric Video]

Dallas upstart and 2024 XXL Freshman BigXthaPlug is back with a brand new single. Titled “The Largest,” the track unfurls an in-depth account of his journey as a man and musician – out now via UnitedMasters.

The new single chronicles BigX’s growth and maturation over a funky bassline. He leans heavily into his signature syrupy drawl to address the haters and explain how the man born Xavier Landum became Tha Plug, and one of the largest influences to come out of the DFW music scene: “Safe to say I’m the biggest / the largest / been stepping on s**t since my mama stayed in them apartments.”

Back in July, BigX announced his inclusion in this year’s coveted XXL Freshman Class. He quickly followed that up with another major announcement, his headlining 2024 ‘Take Care Tour’ with special guests Ro$ama and Yung Hood.

Kicking off on October 25th in Fayetteville, Arkansas, the headlining tour will make landfall in major cities across North America including Washington, D.C., New York, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, and more before wrapping up in Denver on December 12th. Known for his commanding stage presence, fans will get to see BigX perform some of his biggest songs to date including the RIAA-certified Gold single “Texas,” his Billboard Hot 100 hit “Mmhmm,” the head-nodding cut “Climate” featuring Offset, and much more from his impressive catalog.

Tickets are now available on BIGXTHAPLUGOFFICIAL.COM.

With 2023 being one of the biggest year’s in BigX’s career, he’s enjoyed an incredible run so far in 2024, too. Back in May, he broke the news of his new partnership with UnitedMasters to launch his record label, 600 Entertainment. Since its inception, the label has successfully released the Meet the 6ixers mixtape, which has received press praise from The Fader, Uproxx, Vibe, Rap-Up, and more.

In other big news, BigX is celebrating a new career milestone. Just last week, it was revealed that several songs from his solo discography are now RIAA-certified Gold (“Safehouse” and “Whip It”) and RIAA-certified Platinum (“Mmhmm” and “Levels”). At this point, it’s impossible to ignore his superstar status – and he’s showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon.

As a prominent new voice in rap that’s here to stay, BigX’s prowess as a collaborator has been widely recognized throughout the music industry. From his recent feature on Shaboozey’s third album Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going (“Drink Don’t Need No Mix”), to rumors of new features with global superstars Post Malone & Morgan Wallen, BigXthaPlug is squarely positioned to take his career to the next level.

ABOUT BIGXTHAPLUG:

BigX was a star football player from his early childhood up until his freshman year of college, where he was sidetracked by trouble and forced to find a new route. His first mixtape – “Bacc from the Dead” – and following singles (“Big Stepper”, “Safehouse,” “Texas,” and “Primetime”) helped him gain significant attention leading up to his highly acclaimed album, “Amar.” The debut album received notable cosigns and media praise from the likes of The FADER, Complex, Pitchfork, XXL, Genius, The SOURCE, and SPIN Magazine, naming him one of the ‘Top 15 Rappers to Look out for.’ Since the release of “Amar,” BigX has continued his hot streak by releasing the deluxe version of the album and his 2023 EP, “The Biggest,” which scored BigX’s first Billboard Hot 100 entry as his song “Mmhmm” debuted at No. 93. BigX’s smash single was preceded by his aforementioned debut studio album, “Amar,” which is home to the RIAA Gold-Certified hit “Texas.” Plus, the critically acclaimed project topped the Billboard Heatseekers Albums Chart for 13 consecutive weeks. AMAR also debuted at No. 34 on Billboard’s Independent Albums Chart and No. 4 on their Heatseekers Albums Chart, before spending 13 weeks at No. 1 on the latter list – making BigX the second artist ever to claim the top two spots of the survey simultaneously. On top of it all, he’s gained notable support and praise from the likes of NLE Choppa, Bun B, Shaq, Erykah Badu, Raekwon, Kai Cenat, Key Glock, DJ Akademiks, and was brought out as a special guest by Sexyy Red on her ‘Hood Hottest Princess Tour.’ All achieved while tearing down stages across the country on his headlining ‘Don’t Mess With Texas Tour,’ right before joining Kevin Gates as a special guest for ‘Only The Generals Tour.’ Needless to say, BigX has achieved massive success and cemented a name for himself as one of the prominent new voices in rap that’s here to stay.
